ABA & Autism

Long-term success is absolutely possible.

Our experienced team takes a comprehensive, hands-on approach to helping children living with autism—and their families—thrive. We’re here to help you build a personal path to success based on your child’s unique strengths, needs, learning environment, and home life.

With a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, behavioral medication management experts, Registered Behavior Technicians®, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts® all under one roof—you can access the complex care you need for sustained success in one simple place.

Testing and treatment under one roof. We’re here with you from the start.

At NBCG, parents have the unique ability to access care beginning with an initial diagnosis. We offer testing for autism spectrum disorders right here in-house—which makes for a clear path to effective treatment, simplicity in booking appointments, and streamlined coordination of care.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a highly effective therapy for autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, ODD, OCD, giftedness, and learning disabilities.

ABA Therapy is based on the science of learning and behavior—it applies our understanding of how behavior works to real-world situations with the goal of increasing behaviors that are helpful and decreasing behaviors that are harmful or adversely affect learning.

ABA is:

  • Research-based

  • Endorsed by federal and state agencies—including the U.S. Surgeon General

  • Acknowledged around the world as one of the most successful treatments for autism

How can ABA help?

ABA is an extremely flexible therapy—it can be tailored to suit each individual’s unique needs, strengths, educational environment, and personal challenges. Through ABA, we can often:

  • Increase language and communication skills

  • Improve attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics

  • Improve independence in daily tasks (bathing, dressing, eating, etc.)

  • Decrease problematic behaviors

How can ABA help me support my child?

Our individual and group parent trainings teach you how to incorporate ABA principles and strategies in your home, and how to best support your child in their everyday life. In addition to center-based therapy (where parents can watch from a room attached to the work area via video conference)—we also offer in-home ABA therapy, which has an array of benefits, including:

  • Parents and caregivers can watch RBTs® and BCBAs® prevent and respond to challenging behavior.

  • Family members have more opportunities to be directly involved with in-home ABA therapy than they might be with center-based sessions.

  • Children can work on skills like familial relationship building and bedtime routines in their everyday home environment.

What makes your team best qualified to provide ABA therapy?

Our ABA team is incredibly compassionate, endlessly experienced, and driven by the desire to help our patients reach their full potential. We’re proud to offer an array of benefits and qualifications that others in the area don’t.

  • We specialize in-house testing and diagnostics, which makes for simplified coordination of care

  • Smaller caseloads make for a more meaningful connection with each patient

  • We focus on parent and caregiver empowerment for a whole-family approach

  • Our personalized treatment plans are centered around your family’s distinct needs

  • We offer center-based and in-home services

  • Our BCBAs® complete semi-annual in-house trainings to offer patients the most up-to-date techniques

  • Parents and caregivers have access to an intuitive online platform to review data after each session
